JUNE UPDATE 2026
Philip has recently returned from Austria where he directed a very successful production of Steven Moffat’s The Unfriend, currently playing at Vienna’s English Theatre until 4th July. The comedy has played to packed audiences and received an enthusiastic response from critics:
“Director Philip Dart has assembled an excellent ensemble, especially Basienka Blake as Elsa, sparkling with cheekiness, calculation, subtlety and also a hint of danger, which Peter (Jack Gogarty , so wonderfully "very British") and Debbie (Daphne Kouma , who can get so wonderfully worked up) are very much aware of. A highly delighted premiere audience applauded enthusiastically.” Renate Wagner, Online Merker

Philip is delighted to announce that this autumn he will direct his own play Sherlock Holmes: The Valley of Fear at Vienna’s English Theatre. This is a sequel to the hugely successful Sherlock Holmes: The Sign of the Four, also written by Philip, which enjoyed a sold-out run at Vienna’s English Theatre in 2024.
